In trying to convey how humanity must adhere more closely to the principles of nature’s evolution and build systems for us all to do so, I realize how many people remain stuck in and are afraid of Darwin’s survival of the fittest theory they learned about in school.
And thus, when I propose ways to impregnate our systems with the principles of nature’s evolution, a Pavlovian response of resistance is often ignited. An unwarranted response, for we have discovered Darwin’s original theory is no longer considered the best proxy of evolutionary truth. Darwin’s theory, an excellent piece of work, can remain standing if you evolve the definition of “the fittest”.
In fact, we know now the theory of evolution is based on survival of the most adaptable. Adaptability being a composite of many factors, including physical strength, intelligence, sensory capabilities, reproductive quality, etc. The unique composition of adaptability leading to superior and continual adaptations to a changing equilibrium with nature in an ever-expanding universe. Survival of the fittest now interpreted and redefined as the survival of the most adaptable.
For example, the bee-species with a pin-sized brain has already lived 16,000 times longer than humans because it adapts rapidly, not because of its ability to tap into superior intelligence. The physical strength of the human species is diminishing, only to be offset by increased intelligence during humanoid development. Human intelligence we best put to good use.
Yes We Can Be Responsible
We humans have a lot left to prove.
Humanoid lifespan on earth so far is at most 200,000 years. Renowned evolutionary biologists argue that number to be closer to 100,000 years, with fully erect humans perhaps 20,000 years, a mere blink in the 4.5 billion years of our planet’s existence with some 3.5 billion years ahead.
Comparatively, we will live shorter than mighty dinosaurs with larger brains yet less interconnected neurons. An ordinary fly is guaranteed to outlive us. If we are not careful, the most intelligent species on earth – humans – will live the shortest of all major species. Extraterrestrial escapism does not change that grim forecast, only a recognition of how we continually improve upon ourselves can.
Being careful means humanity must pay closer attention and adapt better to nature, which provides us with resources to exist. Given humanity’s diminishing physical strength, that means we must use our unique composition of fitness – in Darwin’s renewed definition – boosted by our supreme intelligence to improve our collective advantage. We must build each other up to expand the fractal of human ingenuity in all the directions that improve our collective evolutionary adaptability.
Systems Of Discovery
And here, my fellow primates, I have come full circle in explaining why the operating-systems of humanity must comply with the principles of nature.
Our systems of policy, capital, and innovation designed to control and expand ourselves must change from today’s stale manmade monisms of absolutism – resistant to change – to dynamic relativities of plurality constantly in sync with nature’s relativity. Put differently, our flat-world systems from the past must be turned into round-world realism compatible with nature.
Join me in changing the course of humanity so the most intelligent species on our planet lives a genuinely healthy, long, and beautiful life on earth.
