What’s The Biggest Disproportion In Society?

Freedom.

We, in the “developed” world,  think we have it, yet by the old systems we invented and deployed – mind you – in blatant violation of the most fundamental principles of freedom, enslave each other with a mind-numbing pretense of freedom quite the opposite of free.

None are more hopelessly enslaved that those who falsely believe they are free — Goethe

In less developed countries, freedom is curtailed by the brutal control of the (usually imported) haves over the (local) have-nots, inviting the very corruption that disdains all freedom but those of the haves.

You see, we have not evolved to escape the Stone Age very much. We merely use different tools to enslave each other. Moving slowly away from the brutal pillage and plunder still present in underdeveloped nations, we now use the merit of money to dominate in developed countries. Never mind such merit not being correlated to the evolutionary strengthening of our species.

The human game has remained the same. All you need to do to survive is to take the ignorance of others for a glorious ride. Like becoming rich making and selling cigarettes, ignoring comfortably how smoking leads to the third leading cause of death to Americans, incurring massive and unsustainable health insurance premiums to boot.

Or starting over a hundred religions, their attempted totalitarianism the source of many disputes in the world, without any verifiable evidence those gods ever existed, or inventing and deploying technology that wraps people in a pageantry of positivity around a monism of control of the information they can receive, while designing robots to displace the sitting ducks. This, my friends, is not freedom.

And without the freedom of freedom, we cannot build dynamic meritocracies that explore our evolving merit to secure a dynamic equilibrium with nature to stay alive.

We must build better operating-systems for humanity to begin to obey the rules of nature we are ultimately subjugated to. Or we as the most intelligent species will not even be able to outlive a fly.
