My interpretation correlates with nature.
Disruptive technology is technology that attaches to a higher normalization of (evolutionary) truth than previously existed. A new truth upstream delivering prime value, to eventually spawn a new delta of downstream sub-optimizations of said truth gradually commoditizing in value and price.
Downstream innovation slowly running out of options awaiting a new iteration of upstream, as in nature’s perpetual hydrologic cycle.
