Where the outlier finds his precedent.
An outlier knows no precedent. So the search for a mentor means you are not an outlier. Nevertheless, downstream sub-optimizations of an existing normalization can be deemed valuable, albeit unlikely to yield venture-style returns. You’ve entered shark-tank territory at this point.
You see, outliers establish a new and better normalization of truth upstream in dissent of the very norms set before them. From such normalization, they develop a unique solution as unprecedented as the normalization itself. Hence, the likelihood of finding a suitable mentor to guide them is improbable and a waste of time. Being a real entrepreneur is a lonely endeavor. Get over it.
Alas, to not leave you hanging, I do provide some 12-years of startup lessons as my contribution to clearing the air of false positives induced by subprime innovation arbitrage. The subprime arbitrage responsible for drowning the business of innovation is the culprit of why you believe you need a mentor in the first place.
