Not by a long shot, hence the reason why I am reinventing the operating-systems of humanity. But the USA is in many (not all) cases the best of the worst, and inherently imperfect at that. I should know as a polyglot.
The challenge ahead for us is to become the best of the best to create unprecedented excellence from which everyone else can learn and benefit. I could not imagine any other country in the world with the propensity to eventually reinvent itself, but perhaps not until, as Winston Churchill once said, all other options not to have been exhausted. And we are currently running out of viable downstream options.
Our ability to transition from the best of the worst to the best of the best will determine the quest for our perfection, a journey not a destination.
