Yes, many countries suffer from a monism of globalization impressed upon them by powerful nations aiming for totalitarian control and in disrespect of freedom to each his own despite many of the systems of globalization failing to meet the most basic litmus test of evolutionary relevance.

The evolution of humanity is predicated on the promotion of our differences, not on the stifling conformance to our commonalities. Hence, globalization, in violation of a plurality of freedom, yields not only a significant national deficit but also a serious evolutionary one.
