What Is The Reason We Do Not Have A Definitive Cure For Cancer?

Cancer is not a single disease, but rather a suitcase term for many types of conditions we treat with a single treatment protocol. See the world’s experts on cancer discuss the topic in the Charlie Rose Cancer Series. To cure all current forms of cancer will take a long time, as it requires us to understand each unique type.

But on a serious side note, we must let go of the need for us all to live as long as possible. Evolution is predicated on our renewal, not on our personal sustainability. Hence, we need to die of something, and our obsessive urge to survive every disease with medical intervention creates adversarial integrity to the evolution of humanity. 70% of Americans are now on prescription drugs.

So, I would rather see us use some of the money we put into fighting these diseases instead into a systematic effort to preempt them and weed lousy food from our society so that the life we do have on this planet is not propped up by medicine but by a healthy lifestyle that breeds better offspring.
